Volleyball Secures 13th OVC Regular Season Championship

MSU Athletics

Winners of 14 consecutive matches, the Morehead State volleyball team has clinched at least a share of the program's 13th Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship.

The Eagles actually weren't even on the court when they found out they had won a share of the title. With Austin Peay's loss at Murray State last night, both APSU and SEMO (12-4 each) can only tie the Eagles for the title.

Morehead State is 14-2 in the league and 18-9 overall, now winning back-to-back regular season titles after claiming the trophy in the spring 2021 season as well.

The Eagles are 29-3 in league matches in the last two seasons and 41-7 in the previous three seasons.

MSU can claim the title outright and the host role for the OVC Tournament for the second straight season with one win at Southeast Missouri this weekend. The Eagles and Redhawks play Friday at 7 p.m. ET and Saturday at 3 p.m.
