After a prolific season of helping Morehead State win the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title, Eagle baseball senior first baseman Trevor Snyder has been selected a Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
Snyder, a Fort Wayne, Ind., product, was on the outlet's third-team list.
In 2018, Snyder was a Second-Team All-OVC pick after ranking second in the OVC and 17th nationally with 18 home runs. He also ranked 17th among NCAA Division I players with 69 RBI. Snyder slugged .606 to rank sixth in the conference.
Overall, he batted .335 with 84 hits, 14 doubles and 152 total bases. On four different occasions, he recorded at least four hits in a game. Snyder finished with 25 multi-hit games and 17 games producing multiple RBI.
In his career, he has 193 hits, including 27 round-trippers. Snyder also sports a career batting average of .329, slugging percentage of .533 and a career fielding accuracy of .993.
Snyder and the Eagles begin defense of their second OVC title in the last four seasons on Feb. 15-17 with a three-game season-opening series at Furman.
