Morehead State sophomore Andrea Leblanc has been selected the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week. It marks the first career weekly accolade for the Mexico City native.
Leblanc posted a 4-0 record at No. 1 singles and doubles last weekend. She teamed with sophomore Hayley Wild to win 8-4 against Southeast Missouri and posted an 8-2 doubles victory against UT Martin.
In singles, she won two straight-set decisions, defeating Southeast Missouri's Maria Kostyuk (6-1, 6-2) and UT Martin's Hitomi Naito (6-4, 6-2). Leblanc is now 6-2 in conference singles action and 4-1 in doubles.
Leblanc is 13-11 overall this year in singles and 14-8 in doubles. As a freshman, she totaled 18 singles victories and 18 doubles wins.
MSU will host its final home match of the 2015 campaign on Wednesday (April 8) when Southeastern Louisiana visits at 2 p.m.
