Riddle Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

MSU Athletics

Amber Riddle, who set several Morehead State career records, was inducted into the Kentucky Prep Softball Hall of Fame in a ceremony over the weekend. She played first base for the Eagles from 2010-13 after a standout career at nearby Rowan County High School.

The right-handed hitting Riddle owns Morehead State's all-time standards for home runs (36), runs batted in (148), walks (109) and on-base percentage (.435). She also ranks among the school's all-time leaders in games played, runs scored, hits, total bases and slugging percentage.

As a senior at Morehead State, Riddle posted a .358 batting average, .606 slugging percentage, .469 on-base clip, .992 fielding percentage, nine round-trippers and 40 RBI. She earned First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors from the league office and College Sports Madness that year.

Riddle, who was named Kentucky's Miss Softball after her final prep campaign in 2009, continues to hold state records for career home runs (55) and single-season dingers (19 in 2008). She also owns the KHSAA's single-season RBI standard (77 in 2008) and ranks second in career RBI (259).

"Rowan County has always been home for me," Riddle said. "That's why I stayed here and played college softball at Morehead State. I enjoy this community, and it's very special for me to represent Rowan County High School and Morehead State in the Kentucky Prep Softball Hall of Fame."
