The city of Morehead and the Gateway House plan to use the Carl Perkins Community Building as a Warming Center for the homeless during the current cold snap.
It opened for the first time Wed., Jan. 7 and Gateway’s Paul Semisch says two families received assistance there.
Semisch is asking families needing to use the Warming Center to check in between 6pm and 10pm.
He says the center is pretty-well stocked with supplies but could use some volunteers to help with the operation.
