The lone Democrat in Kentucky’s Congressional delegation is defending the Affordable Care Act and says the national rollout would have gone better if more states had set up their own health insurance exchanges. John Yarmuth of Louisville says Kentucky is among those that did and enrollments are proceeding smoothly in the Bluegrass.

Yarmuth made his comments at Wednesday’s meeting of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which quizzed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius about the troubled debut of the federal health care exchange.
