‘Cleaning Closets’ slated Feb. 17-22

Morehead State University theatre students will present “Cleaning Closets” at the Lucille Caudill Little Theatre in Breckinridge Hall, Feb. 17-21 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

Cleaning Closets is an oral history project that collects and shares true coming out stories from both sides of the closet door. This includes the perspective of the LGBTQ individuals as well as that of the family and friends.

Creator and alumnus Jonathan Mayo returns to devise a new work with the students based on their own unique stories.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, children and non-MSU students, and free for MSU students with a valid ID.

The cast will include:

Jordan Adkins is a freshman theatre major from Elkhorn City.

Iva Conway is a sophomore theatre major and film studies minor from Knott County.

Pierce Collier is a Wolfe County native and now resides in Tollesboro. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and is working on a degree in convergent media.

Zachary Fryman is a sophomore theatre education major with a double minor in public relations and Spanish from Dry Ridge.

Urs Koehler is a freshman music major from Hanover, Germany.

Rachael Moser is a junior theatre major and arts entrepreneurship minor from Covington.

Rikki Overman is a freshman design and manufacturing major from Dayton, Ohio.

Samuel Perkins is a junior theatre major from Flatwoods.

Keisha Renee Reid is a senior theatre major from Martin.

Dana Richards is a freshman P-5 early education major with a theatre minor from Brandenburg.

Sara Shouse is a senior theatre and art double major from Corbin.

Alyssa Thomas is a freshman theatre major from Grayson.

Eric Yoak is a sophomore strategic communications major from Grayson.

Kate Winegarden, assistant stage manager, is a freshman theatre major from Louisville.
