Kentucky’s House Majority leader says he likes what he’s seen of President Obama’s plan for two years of tuition-free education in America’s community colleges.
Democrat Rocky Adkins of Morehead says he hasn’t been shown a price tag for the proposal but few investments pay off like education.
“I know of no better way to spend my tax dollars than to put it back into our people and put it back into better educational opportunities for those who are seeking the opportunity to be able to be competitive and recruit for the good jobs, the types of jobs that they need and deserve.” –Rocky Adkins
Adkins says he hopes the Republican-controlled Congress gives the idea a chance during its new session.
