Highlands Museum To Offer Space Science Exhibit

The Lane Report

The Highlands Museum is working with Morehead State University’s Space Science Center to develop a section of the Ashland facility where people can watch MSU’s three satellites orbiting the Earth.

Highlands Director Carol Allen says visitors will be able to sit in front of a monitor and track the satellites in real time. The viewing area, says Allen, will be part of a larger display on space exploration.

“We’re so excited to be able to agree on a new space exhibit at the museum. We are going to put it in the Discovery Center and we’re making it so it will be classroom friendly so that we can later on even have workshops for some of the school students that do come through our museum.” –Carol Allen

Allen says plans call for the space exhibit to be finished this fall.
