Different Angle on Prescription Drug Take Back

A Morehead pharmacist who participated in last weekend’s statewide prescription drug take back program says more people are realizing that disposing of unused medications does help keep children from consuming them accidently…but Bill Shely says there’s another compelling reason to do so.

Shely says some drugs can become lethal to the person they were prescribed for, once they’re outdated…

Eighteen pounds of prescription medications were collected and disposed of in Rowan County last Saturday.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003.
