Cook up something special together! Join our cookbook club to explore new recipes and techniques with Julie. Themed cookbooks are chosen each month; you can find them at the circulation desk and choose a dish that suits your tastes! Intended for ages 18+.

The art of letter writing is a dying art. Join us and be one of the few helping to keep this wonderful and beautiful tradition alive! Write a letter to someone special, or be a part of our initiative to deliver little random acts of kindness around Rowan County by writing to a stranger. We provide the stationery, you provide the words! Intended for ages 13+. All materials provided by the library.

Salt Lickin' and Park Pickin' is a FREE summer series of music concerts offered to the community at the Salt Lick City Park. Food and concessions are available as well as some vendors for browsing, live music from the Salt Lick Community stage, new playground equipment for the kids, completely fenced in, bleachers seats available but lawn chairs are encouraged, and always FREE!

On the First Saturday of each month, EAA Chapter 1525 will host a Pancake breakfast. Enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee and more for $5.00

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.

Profits will be used to provide flight training, education and scholarship opportunities for members and community. EAA 1525 also raises money to provide flights for individuals 8-17 through the Young Eagles flight program.
