Kentucky Philosophical Association Spring 2022 Conference
The Kentucky Philosophical Association Spring 2022 Meeting will be held at Morehead State University on Saturday, April 9th from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm at the Adron Doran University Center (ADUC). The conference is organized by the KPA President, Justin Spinks, adjunct professor of philosophy at Morehead State University and will feature several panels and presentations from philosophers across the region, including professors at MSU.
Featured is a special panel at 11:30 am, "Philosophy and Public Policy," which will be moderated by Dr. Scott Davison, Professor of Philosophy at MSU and Interim Dean of the Caudill College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. This panel will feature Dr. Mike Austin of EKU, Dr. Arnold Farr of UK, Dr. Avery Kolers of the U of L, Dr. Anne Caldwell, also U of L, and Dr. Eric Weber of UK.
The Keynote Address will be provided by Dr. Brandon Look, Research Professor and Chair of Philosophy at UK.
The Kentucky Philosophical Association was founded in 1961 at Bellarmine College, Louisville, Kentucky. This will be the first time that Morehead State has hosted the KPA annual Meeting. The meetings of the Association are open to anyone interested in philosophy, so the event is free to attend and open to the public.
The event is co-sponsored by the Department of History, Philosophy, Politics, International Studies, and Legal Studies at Morehead State University and the Caudill College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
Masks for the KPA Spring 2022 Meeting are optional.
