Rowan County Public Library Update (December 14)

Rowan County Public Library

Editor’s note: Provided by the Rowan County Public Library

The Rowan County Public Library is now taking appointments for patrons to come inside for a 1-hour session and we will continue our drive-through services for checking out materials, copies, and faxes.

Access to computers, genealogy, and notaries will be available by appointment only.

Additional notes:
• The library will continue to offer and encourage curbside service
• Notary service, faxing and printing will still be offered at the drive-thru but can also be done through an appointment
• Resume appointments for Genealogy, this will be 1 patron or family group for 1 hour
• Resume offering appointment access for our desktop computers
• Patrons will be limited to 1-hour sessions
• Calling ahead is encouraged, but walk-in will be allowed
• Staff cannot stand or sit with patrons to help with computer problems
• Multiple patrons cannot sit at a single computer (exceptions made for patrons who need assistance)
• Allow up to 2 patrons/family groups at a time to browse our collection. These patrons will be encouraged to select materials quickly and then make room for others
• Parents must remain with their children if the child is under 12
• There should be no standing and visiting inside the library.

Call the library at (606) 784-7137 for a 1-hour session to use these services.
