Morehead Distribution Center Construction Underway

Penn Live

Construction of God’s Pantry Food Bank’s Regional Distribution Center in Morehead should be completed this spring, that’s according to the executive director of the non-profit organization Marian Guinn.

Guinn says the Rowan County warehouse will serve thousands who struggle every day to meet their basic needs.

The Morehead Regional Distribution Center will span 9,000 square feet and receive weekly deliveries from the Lexington headquarters of God’s Pantry.

Ground was broken recently for the project at the future site of the warehouse in the John Will Stacy Regional Industrial Park, off Kentucky 801. The construction work is being financed entirely with private contributions.

The pantry serves more than 190-thousand people annually in 50 counties in central and eastern Kentucky.
