The Power of Nonviolence: Healing the Trauma of War @ 10am

This Humankind special, "Healing the Trauma of War" tells the deeply moving stories of veterans who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam. How do they heal the invisible emotional and spiritual wounds sustained in the combat zone?  Up to 400,000 returning soldiers are dealing with effects of PTSD and "moral injury" in war. We hear the voices of vets as well as chaplains and other counselors who help them mend.

Muddy Bottom Blues – Voices of a Grateful Nation @ 8pm

Hosted by Paul Hitchcock, this special program of Muddy Bottom Blues features music from the Welcome Home Project featuring Americana artists performing songs of gratitude and support for America’s military veterans, while spotlighting the challenges that face homecoming troops.
