MSU to Host MLK Week

Morehead State University’s Multiculturalism and Inclusion programs has announced a week-long celebration to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Jan. 18-22.

The commemoration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. encompasses a slate of events organized by faculty, staff, and students. Activities include various educational programs to encourage active participation by the campus and nearby community.

2016 MLK Celebration Schedule of Events:

· Monday, Jan. 18, MLK Memorial Walk, 6 p.m., Adorn Doran University Center (ADUC) Lawn;

· Tuesday, Jan. 19, MLK Dream Wall, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., ADUC Lobby;

· Wednesday, Jan. 20Film Screening and Discussion, “Selma,” 6 p.m., 111 Rader Hall;

· Thursday, Jan. 21, Campus-Wide Ceremony, 7 p.m., ADUC, Crager Room;

· Friday, Jan. 22, Unity Faculty and Staff Luncheon, featuring Dr. Jason Meriwether, 11:30 a.m., ADUC Crager Room. Limited spaces, RSVP required.
