20th Annual St. Claire Foundation Charity Golf Outing

Lambton Shield

Registration is open for the 20th Annual St. Claire Foundation Charity Golf Outing, which will take place on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Eagle Trace Golf Course.

“Over the past 20 years, the St. Claire outing has become one of the largest and most anticipated annual events at Eagle Trace,” said St. Claire Foundation Executive Director Tom Lewis. “We believe that’s because we work hard to make it enjoyable and, more importantly, because participants know that they’re supporting a truly worthy cause.”

The golf outing’s proceeds support the St. Claire Charity Care Fund, which helps St. Claire Regional Medical Center provide care to indigent patients and families.

“Last year, St. Claire Regional provided $9.6 million, at cost, in charity and uncompensated care,” Lewis said. “The support we receive through our annual golf outing helps us continue to fulfill our mission of serving people regardless of their ability to pay.”

The St. Claire Foundation Charity Golf Outing is a shotgun scramble with teams of up to four people using a best-ball format.

There will be morning and afternoon flights. In each flight, there will be awards for first, second and third place teams based on handicap and a first place award for the team with the overall lowest score.

There will also be many door prizes, and participants will receive a buffet lunch and either breakfast or a boxed supper, depending on the flight in which they play.

Larry Fannin Chevrolet-Buick-GMC will also sponsor a $100,000 hole-in-one shootout at the conclusion of each flight.

Entries should be received by Friday, August 29, 2014.

There are various sponsorship levels for the outing. For more information or to request a brochure/registration form, contact Tom Lewis, St. Claire Foundation Executive Director, at (606) 783-6511 or via email at: telewis@st-claire.org
