“Amazing” is a word Governor Beshear used this week to describe West Liberty’s recovery from the March 2nd, 2012 tornado that devastated the area. Many homes and other structures wiped out by the twister have been rebuilt, but there’s still a lot of visible destruction throughout the community. Total damage in Morgan County was estimated at 250-million dollars.
The governor says it’s a sign the storm smashed things but didn’t break spirits…
…and Beshear says state government will be with them every step of the way…Until, he says, West Liberty is stronger and better than ever.
