Morehead State University will spend just over $10 million dollars over the next two years to renovate and modernize space in Alumni Tower, and the currently unoccupied Cooper Residence Hall.

The University Board of Regents approved extending the scope of the projects during its regular meeting Thursday morning.  The ground floor of Alumni will be remodeled to house office and maker spaces for the Craft Academy.

Kim Oatman is the Assistant Vice President for Facilities and Operations at MSU.  He says Cooper Hall will need substantial work.

Oatman says the ground floor renovation of Alumni should cost roughly $2-point-5 million dollars while the renovation and modernization of Cooper Hall will cost around $8 million.  The projects are expected to be completed in the fall of 2023 and 24, respectively.
