Morehead State University is hosting a battle of the bands in downtown Morehead Saturday.
Ensembles from Henry Clay and Paul Blazer high schools will be featured, as well as combos from MSU, the University of Kentucky, and Marshall University.
Ryan McGillicuddy is an Assistant Professor of Music at MSU. He says the event is not a contest, but an opportunity to share their work with the community and each other.
Music is set to begin on Batson Oats (175 E Main St.) at noon on Saturday and will continue throughout the evening. The event is free and open to the public
