Students, faculty and staff at campuses within the Kentucky Community and Technical College System can now forgo masks while on campus.
The decision was made state wide and went into effect Wednesday following Governor Andy Beshear’s and other state offices’ guidelines.
Brady ShultZ is the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Maysville Community and Technical College. He says most people are happy that masks are no longer mandated.
Shultz says KCTCS leadership will continue to monitor positive case numbers and positivity rates moving forward.
Officials at Morehead State University say they are also considering changes to their masking policy, but a decision has not yet been made.
