Biden hears 'heartbreaking stories,' vows federal help during Western Kentucky storm damage tour

In the tiny town of Dawson Springs, President Biden stood at a podium on the street, with tangled trees and crumbled homes as his backdrop.

He prayed with Pat and Philip Bruce in front of their mangled home. They lost a sister in the storm and almost everything they own.

Biden approved funds to pay for 100% of emergency costs in Kentucky for the first 30 days. That will help pay for debris removal, shelter and overtime for essential workers.
