Search crews and around 150 volunteers are looking for an 8-year-old boy who was swept away by flood waters in Morehead on Sunday.
Community members gathered at the County Courthouse Tuesday morning and were assigned to teams and search areas along Triplett Creek and down to the Licking River.
Emergency Management Director Ronnie Day told the volunteers that the search would not be easy.
Day said crews are ready to respond immediately if the boy’s body is found. The name of the victim has not been released.
