There will be temporary daytime closures of Big Perry Road (KY 799) in Rowan County next week for embankment repairs.
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 25-29, crews will build a concrete retaining wall along the embankment of Big Perry Road about 1.8 miles north of US 60. Barricades will be placed at Gene White Lane (milepoint 0.3) and at milepoint 2.2 near a forest service road, and KY 799 will be closed to all thru traffic.
Local traffic from the US 60 side may access destinations up to about the 1200 block. All other traffic should come in from the Triplett side. Thru traffic should detour using US 60, KY 32, KY 377, or other routes.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow-down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
