St. Claire HealthCare Welcomes Charles Pesson, MD, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon

St. Claire HealthCare

St. Claire HealthCare is proud to announce the addition of Charles Pesson, MD, orthopedic surgeon to our medical staff. Dr. Pesson is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

“Orthopedic surgery is a great specialty,” said Pesson. “A patient comes to you with a problem, and you’re able to fix that problem. Our patients usually get well and resume their activities without pain and I derive a great deal of satisfaction from that.”

Dr. Pesson is a general orthopedist who has been in practice for more than 20 years. During that time he has developed expertise in knee and hip conditions, sports medicine, and total joint replacement as well as shoulder surgeries including rotator cuff repair and reverse shoulder replacement.

When it comes to patient relationships, Dr. Pesson knows how important it is to listen carefully to what his patients have to say. He believes you have to spend an adequate amount of time with each patient and listen to what the patient says to make the correct diagnosis. He also believes this is key to developing the correct rapport so patients have confidence that you know what you’re doing and you’re going to make them better.

“I derive a great deal of satisfaction from helping my patients and seeing them able to restore their normal activities without pain,” said Pesson. “I enjoy orthopedics a great deal and I plan to continue practicing for the distant future.”

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Pesson earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his medical training in New Orleans at the LSU School of Medicine and Charity Hospital.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Pesson and his wife of 36 years love being in the country. They have been alpaca breeders for the past seven years. Dr. Pesson says he also enjoys restoring old cars in his spare time.

If you are experiencing any type of pain in your ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, or back, consider seeing an orthopedist. St. Claire HealthCare’s highly-skilled orthopedic team offers patient-specific treatment options for bone and joint pain and is dedicated to restoring motion and getting you back to your daily activities.
