GADD launches MotorMeals program

GADD Facebook

The Gateway Area Development District has launched a new food program for seniors.

Funded through the Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living, MotorMeals aims to reduce food insecurity among individuals age 60 and older. A food truck will be set up at various locations Monday-Friday from 11:00a.m. to noon each week.

GADD Director of Operations Emily Jordan says there will be a designated day for each of the five counties in the organization's service area, with updates and locations currently being announced through GADD's social media.

To participate in the program, individuals must be enrolled, or enroll, in a GADD senior center program. The meals are provided at no cost; however, a $1.00 donation is suggested.

Those wanting more information on MotorMeals can contact their local senior center, or GADD's Aging and Disability Resource Center at 855-882-5307.
