KY 713 (Indian Creek Road) in Menifee County at milepoint 9.3 has reopened to traffic. The road had been closed since March 23 when significant damage and deterioration to a drainage structure was discovered by Transportation Cabinet personnel.
One lane of the road was originally closed when KYTC crew members noticed a major dip in the pavement. Upon closer inspection, the decision was made to completely close the road to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
A new aluminum culvert has been installed to replace the old concrete box culvert.
Drivers should reduce speed and use caution in this area, as the road is paved with millings until a permanent surface can be applied.
