A Morehead business is hosting a Community Christmas Gathering this weekend with hopes of raising money for a couple different causes.
When the doors open at The Venue Saturday evening, patrons can relax as they play board and card games, watch the University of Kentucky game on the big screen and have some free pizza to accompany their drinks.

The gift card basket to downtown businesses has a value of over $300. Ballinger says donations of any amount will earn attendees a shot at the prize. They have also lowered the price of admission for the live music set to get underway at 8:00p.m.
Doors at The Venue open up at 5:00p.m. Saturday. Those wanting to attend must be 21 and older.
