Gov. Bevin Orders Flags to Half-Staff to Honor Victims of Tragedy in Sutherland Springs, Texas

Georgetown CCF

In accordance with the proclamation by United States President Donald Trump, and with respect for those who lost their lives in Sutherland Springs, Texas, Governor Matt Bevin has directed both American and state flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Nov. 9 to honor the victims and their families.

“I am heartbroken for the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas," said Gov. Bevin.

"America is losing its moral compass and we are seeing the tragic result. We mourn, with the rest of the nation, lives lost in this horrific tragedy. Our prayers are lifted for the families and friends of those who lost their loved ones, and for healing for this community,” added Gov. Bevin.

Gov. Bevin encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute of lowering the flag to honor the victims and families of the Sutherland Springs shooting.
