Adkins on Eminent Domain Discussion

www.rockyadkins.com

Kentucky House Majority Leader Rocky Adkins says he welcomes a discussion on the state’s eminent domain laws. The Boyd County Democrat was responding to legislation being drafted by House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Tilley. Tilley seeks to place a more “stringent guideline” on the use of eminent domain by private companies to build projects like the proposed Bluegrass Pipeline through northern and central Kentucky.

Adkins says he looks forward to hearing from all affected parties during next year’s legislative session, so the General Assembly can determine what’s best for Kentucky as a whole…

Adkins says people might be surprised by the number of pipelines already running through Kentucky. The proposed Bluegrass Pipeline would carry natural gas liquids to the Gulf of Mexico.
