CPE President Aaron Thompson to continue webinar series addressing diversity, equity and inclusion

CPE President Aaron Thompson and Vice President Travis Powell will hold part two of the Education: A Catalyst for Systematic Equity discussion, scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 at 1 p.m. ET.

In this installment, they will focus on Kentucky diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to close achievement gaps. They will also introduce Kentucky's strategies for increasing cultural competence on the states campuses.

This webinar continues the Council’s already popular Higher EDquity series, designed to provide practical strategies for improving diversity, equity and inclusion on college campuses.

The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education is leading efforts to get more Kentuckians more highly educated. By 2030, at least 60% of working-age adults in Kentucky will need to have earned a postsecondary education degree or credential to meet expected workforce demands.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
