Graduate Dean’s Scholars Honored

Morehead State University

Dr. Steven Ralston, provost and vice president for academic affairs, and Dr. Michael Henson, associate vice president for research and dean of the graduate school, hosted a reception recognizing the exemplary academic performance of the Graduate Dean’s Scholars.

The reception was held Wednesday, April 6, Space Science Center.

“The selection of our Graduate Dean’s Scholars each year is based upon the outstanding academic records of our undergraduate honorees combined with their demonstrated potential to succeed at the graduate level. It’s always a great pleasure to honor such a distinguished group of high achievers and to share the occasion with the family members who have so significantly contributed to their success,” said Dr. Henson.

To qualify as a scholar, the student must be an undergraduate graduating in the spring semester with a minimum 3.8 cumulative GPA. The program began in 2012 and is designed to encourage high performing undergraduate students to continue their academic career with MSU into Graduate School.
