St. Claire Auxiliary Accepting Scholarship Applications

st-claire.org

Applications are now available for the second-annual St. Claire Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship. The application deadline is April 30.

The St. Claire Auxiliary established a college scholarship endowment to assist students who have an interest in medicine and a heart for community service. “We are excited to offer a scholarship that places importance on a student’s contributions of volunteer service,” St. Claire Regional Director of Volunteer Services Regina Thompson said.

To qualify for the scholarship, an individual must:

* Be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited medically related program of study (associate or baccalaureate);

* Demonstrate academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or higher), leadership and community service;

* Have financial need.

The award is worth a minimum of $500 for the fall 2017 semester. Preference will be given to students who are actively volunteering in SCR volunteer programs with at least 100 hours of service.

“It is the SCR volunteers’ hope that those applying for our Auxiliary scholarship are students who recognize a life of service is what they are seeking,” said St. Claire Regional Auxiliary President Brenda Bennett.

Scholarship applications are available online at www.st-claire.org/scholarships. For more information or to request an application by mail, contact Joni Mraz, St. Claire Foundation Coordinator of Development, at (606)783-6512, or via email at Joan.Mraz@st-claire.org.
