In pointing Morehead State University toward…what he calls ”a sustainable future”…MSU President Wayne Andrews says the school needs to reduce its workforce.
Since he arrived in Morehead nearly 10 ten years ago, Andrews says MSU has annually had between 1,100 and 1,200 full-time employees…
Andrews admits MSU might consider involuntary layoffs this year to reduce its number of full-time jobs, adding that students could be used to cover some of those duties. Morehead State’s employee spring buyout program netted the university about 2.2 million dollars in savings…but that was 1.8 million short of its goal.
