Six community forums on heroin will take place in the Buffalo Trace area over the next month and a half. They’ve been arranged by the Agency for Substance Abuse Policy. The first takes place in Augusta March 3rd.
Lauren Penrose is the coordinator of programming for the Regional Prevention Center of Comprehend, Incorporated. She says the discussions will involve medical professionals, law enforcement officers, and families touched by heroin abuse.

Penrose says all the meetings begin at 6 p.m. There’s one in Vanceburg March 10th, in Flemingsburg March 31st and in Maysville on April 7th.
