Pill Mill-Heroin Connection Refuted

The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is refuting claims that Kentucky’s crackdown on pill mills is responsible for increased heroin abuse in the Commonwealth. Democratic State Representative John Tilley of Hopkinsville says deaths from heroin overdoses in Kentucky were rising before the passage of legislation aimed at curbing prescription drug trafficking…

Tilley says heroin abuse is expanding in Kentucky because of market forces. Quite simply, he says, the drug is cheaper.
