Rowan County Public Library closed for public access through November 7

Rowan County Public Library

Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Rowan County, the Rowan County Public Library has decided to temporarily close the building for public access and only offer drive-through services and some services by appointment only.

For the week of November 1-7th, the Rowan County Public Library will be only offering drive-thru services for checking out materials, copies, and faxes.

The building will be temporarily closed to the public.

Access to computers, genealogy, and notaries will be available by appointment only. Call the Library at (606) 784-7137 for a 1-hour session to use these services.

Current Library hours are Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003. He currently hosts "Muddy Bottom Blues" (Fri., 8pm-9pm), "Nothin' But The Blues" (Sat., 8pm-12am), "Sunday Night Jazz Showcase" and "Live From The Jazz Lounge" (Sun., 8pm-9pm) and "The Golden Age of Radio" (Sun., 2pm-3pm). He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
