The Paramount Arts Center in Ashland is excited to announce the return of the popular 'Jazz Alley' series.
These events are unique in that they take place entirely on the Paramount stage.
Limited seating, beverages and snacks, all on the stage together, make for an intimate experience unlike anything else done at the theater.
This Friday, June 11th the series kicks off with ‘Queen City Vintage Vibe’ at 8pm.
‘Queen City Vintage Vibe’ is a trio performing classic traditional American jazz music from the early 20th century. They specialize in music performed by artists like Jellyroll Morton, Bix Beiderbeck, Louis Armstrong, Eddie Condon and others. Joe Lukasik, clarinet, and Sally Lukasik, trumpet, join Phil DeGreg to play music that is both fun for listeners and challenging for them.
“This is a beloved series that unfortunately, we were not able to do last year.” said David Miller, Paramount Marketing Director. “Returning to one of our staple events is something we’re really celebrating. Jazz Alley gives our area an opportunity to experience new music styles and enjoy a unique Paramount experience seated on the stage alongside the performers. It’s both intimate and endlessly entertaining.”
Tickets can be purchased online at http://ParamountArtsCenter.com or through the Paramount Box Office. The Box Office can be reached at 606.324.0007 and is located at 1300 Winchester Avenue in Ashland, KY. Operating hours are 10am-6pm Monday-Friday.
