Morehead State University’s annual journal highlighting creativity in writing and the visual arts is seeking student work to fill its pages. Inscape, Morehead State University’s juried literary and visual art journal, is accepting submissions in three categories.
There is a competition for best cover design, as well as visual art and writing for the publication. The deadline to submit for the cover design and visual art portion of the competition is November 22, 2019. Submissions for the literary section are due by January 24, 2020.
Prizes are awarded in both of the visual art competitions, with a first-place prize of $100 for the selected cover design. A $100 award will be given for the best artwork submitted for the interior of the publication. Prizes for second place, third place and honorable mention will be provided in the amounts of $75, $50 and $25, respectively. You must be an MSU student to enter the visual art competitions.
Students may submit poetry, fiction or creative nonfiction for inclusion in the interior of the publication. Prizes of $100 for first place will be awarded in the poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction categories. You must be an MSU student to be awarded a literary prize, but submissions for inclusion in the magazine are open to non-students as well.
