Morehead bookstore to showcase authors

CoffeeTree Books

CoffeeTree Books in Morehead invites everyone to listen and enjoy the works of poet Julie Hensley and author R Dean Johnson.

The husband and wife duo will be reading from their respected projects on October 3rd, 2017, 6:00-7:30 PM.  Following the presentation will be a chance to purchase their works and have them signed.

Hensley and Johnson currently reside in Kentucky with their two children.  Johnson is the director for Eastern Kentucky University’s low-residency MFA program, Bluegrass Writers Studio.  His essays and stories have appeared in several national literary journals.  He is the author of Californium and Delicate Men: Stories.

Hensley is the author of the chapbook, The Language of Horses, and books, Viable: Poems and Landfall: A Ring of Stories.  She is an Associate Professor at Eastern Kentucky University and one of the core faculty members in the Bluegrass Writers studio.  She recently volunteered her artistic talents to help raise funds for our local Public Radio station, WMKY, during Coffeetree’s Poetry Month.
