2017 Morehead State University Sophomore Art & Design Exhibition

The Claypool-Young Art Gallery at Morehead State University will host the annual 2017 Sophomore Art & Design Exhibition, February 1 through 22.   The annual show is an opportunity for MSU Department of Art & Design students to exhibit as emerging artists in a professional setting at the midpoint of their college career.  The exhibition opens with a reception featuring live music by MSU students and complimentary refreshments on Wednesday, February 1 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

 

Participating artists include: Justin Artrip (Ashland); Ellen Barnette (Morehead); Kaitlyn Campbell (Prestonburg); Bethany Crouch (Sharpsburg); Trey Davis (Morehead); Nicole Duff (Clearfield); Maggie Flanagan (Edgewood); Kristin Hamm (Morehead); Lin-hsiu Huang (Kaohsiung, Taiwan); David Jones (Lexington); Bryce Joseph (Mt. Sterling); Sommer Looney (Corbin); Darcy McDaniel (Hazard); Stephanie McNeill (Morehead); Bethany Pace (Morehead); Zachary Pace (Stanton); Sara Profitt (Stanton); Joe Sloan (Morehead); Samantha Smallwood (Jenkins); Meghan Smith (Brooksville); Destiny Spicer (Falmouth); Vannah Vance (Beaver); Alexandra Virostko (Ashville, OH); Elizabeth Watkins (Hueysville); and Laekin Wessel (Ashland)

 

The Claypool-Young Art Gallery features contemporary art for the Morehead State University community as well as the university’s service region.  The gallery is located in the Claypool-Young Art Building on the campus of Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky.  The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment, and is free and open to the public.  Parking is available on Main Street, behind the Claypool-Young Art Building, and across campus after 5 p.m.  Any questions or comments, call Jennifer Reis, gallery director,  (606) 783-5446.
