Delbert McClinton To Headline Benefit Concert

Kentucky National Guard

An all-star benefit concert coordinated by the all-volunteer Kentucky National Guard Memorial Fund will be held in Frankfort. The event will feature Grammy award-winning artist Delbert McClinton and Kentucky’s own Exile.

All proceeds will benefit construction of the Kentucky National Guard Memorial being built outside Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort. The all-volunteer effort has already raised $700,000 and needs just $550,000 more in order to build the Memorial.

The benefit concert will take place at 8:00PM, Saturday, February 8 at the Frankfort Convention Center, 405 Mero Street, Frankfort, Ky. Tickets will be available at the door for $25.00 each.

This is one of the largest concert event to take place at the Frankfort Convention Center in many years. Costs of the benefit concert were underwritten by generous contributions made by Kentucky Broadcasters Association, Commonwealth Credit Union and Kentucky Employees Credit Union.

Intent is to break ground on construction of the memorial this Memorial Day. Dedication of the completed project is already scheduled for Veterans Day. The Kentucky National Guard Memorial Fund is a recognized 501(c)(3) and is supported by an all-volunteer force of current and retired Guardsmen.
