Quarles Urges Kentucky Taxpayers To "Check Off Hunger"
Ahead of the April 17th filing deadline, Kentucky’s Agriculture Commissioner has issued public service announcements urging Kentuckians to help fight hunger while filing their state income taxes.
Commissioner Ryan Quarles says Kentuckians can check line 33 on their income tax returns to donate part of their refund to the Farms to Food Banks Trust Fund…
Quarles reminds taxpayers that about 1 in every 6 Kentuckians aren’t sure where their next meal will come from at some point during the year, and says “checking off hunger” is a way to help make fresh local foods available to families in need.
