For the second consecutive week, Morehead State sophomore Ritchie Kruunenberg has been named Ohio Valley Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
A native of Nieuw-Vennep, Netherlands, he shares this week's accolade with Dimitar Ristoviski of Austin Peay.
Kruunenberg defeated the nation's 88th ranked player, Korey Lovett of No. 60 Alabama, in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) on Sunday. He also claimed a three-set victory at No. 1 singles against Murray State's Will True (2-6, 6-2, 6-1) on Saturday. Kruunenberg teamed with sophomore Gabriel Ruiz for an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles at Murray State. He owns a 5-1 singles mark in OVC matches.
Morehead State hosted Eastern Kentucky Tuesday and plays Butler at EKU on Friday.
