Senior infielder Stephanie Etter of the Morehead State softball team has been named Preseason Second Team All-Conference by College Sports Madness.
The North Lawrence, Ohio, native finished her junior campaign with a .317 batting average, one home run and 20 RBI. She was also hit by a pitch 14 times, which tied for the lead in the OVC.
"Stephanie is a hard worker and leader for our program," Head Coach David Williams said. "She deserves this recognition, and I look for her to have a great senior season."
Etter had 14 multi-hit games and four multi-RBI contests in 2013, including a stretch where she reached base safely in 12 straight games.
Morehead State opens its season Friday (Feb. 7) versus Louisiana-Monroe at the Plainsman Invite hosted by Auburn University.
