Area residents have had to adjust to difficult driving conditions the past several days, and Transportation Cabinet officials say tonight’s anticipated weather will not make things any easier.
Crews have things pretty well clear for the moment after Eastern Kentucky’s most recent bout with winter weather.
However, Highway District 9 Spokesman Allen Blair says this round will be different.
Blair says forecasted rain for today also makes pre-treating for the snow and ice impossible, with flash freezing and ice buildup a likely possibility in the morning hours Thursday. He adds all those factors together mean residents need to keep an eye out for high water situations as well.
