Kentucky’s senior senator thinks the new Republican-controlled Senate can reach agreement with President Obama on several key issues. Mitch McConnell is now the Majority Leader in his chamber.

McConnell says trade and cyber security are strong possibilities. He says there’s also a chance for tax reform.

“The President at least at this point, has said he’s willing to do corporate tax reform only revenue neutral. The problem with that is you leave out most of American business, which pays taxes.” –Mitch McConnell

McConnell spoke to reporters on Thursday (Jan. 15) at a GOP retreat in Pennsylvania.
