NAACP Chair Visits Ashland, Reflects on Ferguson

The woman who chairs the board of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People says a simple lesson emerges from the recent shooting death of a black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri by a white police officer. Roslyn Brock reflected on the incident yesterday during a visit to Ashland.

She says it’s clear that race still matters in America…

Brock says the NAACP is working with local officials in Ferguson, the U.S. Justice Department and the family of the victim in an effort to help the community heal.
