With his retirement looming, Rowan County Schools Superintendent Marvin Moore admits the thought of it makes him “a little nervous”.
Moore will step-down after 13 years as Rowan’s top education official on June 30th. He says he’s already looking at some things to keep him busy after that date, including a couple of consulting opportunities…
Moore says he’s always needed something to give his life a purpose and plans to also remain active in the community after he retires. Assistant Superintendent John Maxey was named earlier to replace Moore on July 1st.
