Some popular Morehead events could face funding issues this year.
That’s according to Tony Pence, the Executive Director of Downtown Morehead, Inc. Pence spoke before the Fiscal Court during its monthly meeting Tuesday.
Pence says recently announced cuts from the Morehead Tourism Commission mean his organization will be looking for alternative funding sources for events like the annual antique mall and hometown holidays.
Pence says before asking for funding from the county, he will first seek private funding from individuals and businesses in the community.
